Privacy Policy

When you use Flixscope, we may collect the following types of information:

• Account data: email address, display name, and profile photo (if you sign in).
• Usage data: content you interact with, search queries, ratings, vault entries, and navigation patterns inside the app.
• User-generated content: Takes (up to 250 characters) and Creator opinions (up to 500 characters) you post within the app.
• Subscription data: your Flixscope Pro plan status (processed by RevenueCat — we never see your payment card details).
• Device data: device type, OS version, app version, and anonymous identifiers.
• Crash reports: technical logs generated automatically when the app encounters an error.

We use the information we collect exclusively to:

• Power personalized recommendations through the Watcher Score system.
• Display your Takes and Creator opinions to the community.
• Manage your Flixscope Pro subscription and access.
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features.
• Send transactional push notifications (replies, reports, subscription events) if you enable them.
• Communicate important updates about Flixscope (no spam — ever).
• Maintain the safety and integrity of the platform.

Flixscope relies on the following third-party services to operate. We have reviewed their practices but are not responsible for their independent policies — please review them directly:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the service.

You can delete your Flixscope account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app. Deletion removes all your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except for anonymized aggregate data and records required by law.

Anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., aggregate Watcher Score signals) may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.

Our servers are located in the United States (Supabase, Inc., AWS US-East region). If you access Flixscope from outside the United States, your personal data will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.

We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and applicable safeguards to protect data transferred internationally.

Flixscope is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard security measures — including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest — to protect your data. While no system is 100% immune to breaches, we continuously monitor and update our security practices.

If you grant permission, we may send you transactional notifications such as replies to your Takes, moderation updates, and subscription events. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings. We do not send marketing or promotional push notifications without your explicit consent.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify users through the app for material changes. Your continued use of Flixscope after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
